1. RULES
2. ADVERTISING
  Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.
3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
  The regatta is open to all boats holding valid PHRF certificates on Lake Ontario.
  Boats registering for the Regatta are required to pay the registration fee prior to racing. Boats not paying will not be considered registered.
  There are no restrictions on the number of boats that register.
4. FEES
  There is no entry fee for participating boats.
5. RACING FORMAT
  The regatta will consist of a single, long-distance race (approx 22 nm).
  Racing is open to single-handed, double-handed and fully crewed sailboats with a valid Lake Ontario PHRF certificate.
6. SCHEDULE
  The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first start is 10:00 am EDT.
7. MEASUREMENTS
  Each boat shall produce a valid PHRF rating certificate and proof of insurance at time of registration. If this information is not provided or not current, race organizers have the right to refuse entry.
8. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
  The sailing instructions will be available online after 10:00 am on June 28. Every effort will be made to publish these earlier.
9. VENUE
  The racing venue will consist of the waters on SW Lake Ontario. The Start and Finish line will be located at one of three locations. Burlington Skyway Bridge, Bronte Yacht Club and Fifty Point Sailing Club.
10. THE COURSE
  A long distance race will consist of rounding three (3) fixed marks over a distance of approximately 22 nm. The exact GPS location of these marks will be revealed to competitors prior to the race start.
  Marks may be rounded in any order and in either port or starboard directions.
11. PENALTY SYSTEM
  Standard scoring penalties will apply unless otherwise noted in the Sailing Instructions.
12. SCORING
  The race is run in a pursuit format, with starting times determined by the boats Time-on-Distance PHRF rating. The first boat across the finish after rounding all 3 marks will be declared the winner.
13. RADIO COMMUNICATION
  Radio communication is permitted between boats taking part in racing.
  Communication between the Racing Committee and participants will take place on VHF channel 69, unless otherwise noted in the Sailing Instructions.
14. PRIZES
  Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each fleet as well as for overall Fiasco winner.
15. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
  Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
16. INSURANCE
  Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of $1,000,000 CAD per incident or the equivalent.
